An exhibiting artist in oils and watercolours, Lynda has taught art
for 35 years at the high school, college
and university levels. Her encouraging
approach to teaching has enabled Lynda and her students from
Cowichan Secondary
School (and elsewhere) to produce many painted, mosaic and ceramic murals for public
venues;
including the City of Duncan, the Cowichan Community Centre, the University of
Victoria and the Royal
BC Museum; and schools in Montreal, Labrador and Japan. She has received many teaching awards
including BC
Art Teacher of the year in 1994, the CSEA
National Affiliate award
for British Columbia in 2004 and the CSEA
National Art Educator of the Year for
2008.
